Photo Albums for Online Photos
Administrators can share high-quality photos with their group easily and securely. Display photos on your Group Site or event page to spruce up your visual appeal and convey what your group or cause is all about.
Create and Share Photo Albums
You can share your group’s photos on your Group Site or event page by uploading them to photo albums. You can also engage members by allowing them to upload their own photos with or without admin approval.
Admins can do the following through the photos module:
Share an album on social media or an event page
Allow members to upload images to an album
Create a photo album
- On the left navigation sidebar, select Photos
- Click the New Album button
- Enter your album name in the field provided
Note: You must enter an album name before you can add your photos.
- Drag and drop photos to the album, or click Choose Files to add photos that are saved on your computer
Note: Current photo album max upload limit is 2MB. Total files being uploaded in one upload cannot exceed this total or the upload will fail.
- Click Save and Finish
Share an album on social media or an event page
To share on social media:
- On the left navigation sidebar, select Photos
- Click on the gear icon of the photo album you wish to share
- Select Share Album from the dropdown menu
- On the overlay screen, select whether you want to share on Facebook or Twitter
- A pop-up window will appear wherein you’ll be able to edit your post and publish
To share on an event page:
You will first need to create an event if you haven’t done so already.
- On the left navigation sidebar, select Photos
- Click on the photo album you wish to share
- Select Link an Event to this Album or Change Linked Event (if you already have a linked event)
- On the overlay screen, click the Choose button for the event page you wish the album to be displayed on
Note: If you already have an event linked, selecting a different event will unlink the album to its current event. Only one album can be displayed per event.
- To unlink an event, hover over the Currently Selected button, then select Unlink Event.
Allow members to upload images to an album
Admins can engage their members by allowing them to upload images to a shared album via email attachment.
- On the left navigation sidebar, select Photos
- Select the photo album you wish to upload images to
- Click Change Album Settings
- Next to Upload via Email, check that the dropdown is set to Enabled, then click Get Address
- Copy the entire email address provided and share this with your members
We recommend linking the photo album you wish to display on your event page. On the event page itself, copy and paste the email address with a short explanation that members can send image attachments to the email. Unless you have opted to approve photos before they are uploaded, members can email photos and view their uploads on your event site instantly.
